THE FACTS AND FEATURES OF SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK




Serengeti National Park is the oldest and most famous national park in Tanzania, and possibly the best-known wildlife sanctuary in the world. Its vast plains are home to predator and prey, vying for grasslands and the last watering holes as the dry season progresses. Between December and May, millions of mammals migrate across the plains, and the interaction between species is awesomely entertaining.
Size: 
14,763 sq km (5,700 sq mi).

335km (208 mi) from Arusha, stretching north to Kenya and bordering Lake Victoria to the west.

Getting to: 
A six hour drive, or one hour flight, from Arusha. There are also flights from Lake Manyara,Musoma and Mwanza.

Best time to visit: 
To follow the wildebeest migration, December-July. To see predators, June-October.

SINGITA FARU FARU LODGE.
Singita Faru Faru is situated within the magnificent Singita Grumeti Reserves, in Northern Tanzania. The reserves cover 350 000 acres of pristine wilderness, which is adjoined to the Western Corridor of the Serengeti. As there is no fencing, the wildlife migrates freely between the National Park and the reserve. The Grumeti concession was created to preserve the vast biodiversity of the Serengeti Mara ecosystem, and protect the path of the annual wildebeest migration.  Singita now manages this concession, with the objective of ensuring long-term sustainability through low-impact tourism.

SERENGETI SERENA SAFARI LODGE .
Set high on the saddle of a tree-clad ridge, commanding panoramic views across the Serengeti, this lodge is the ultimate fusion of traditional African architecture and world-class style. GURUMETI SERENGETI TENTED CAMP.
Tanzania’s Serengeti National Park is part of a huge conservation area, which incorporates the adjacent Ngorongoro Conservation Area and the Masai Mara in neighbouring Kenya. Huge numbers of wildlife move freely throughout this vast grassland, allowing for outstanding wildlife sightings.
Grumeti Serengeti Tented Camp is situated in the remote reaches of the western corridor of Serengeti National Park. Set on the banks of an oxbow lake formed by the Grumeti River, the Camp provides the perfect vantage point for witnessing the Great Migration.
Grumeti offers exclusive tented accommodation tucked under shady palm fronds and overlooking the river, with its resident hippo family. Decks open onto the riverfront, and intimate cushioned spaces around the pool offer guests a comfortable vantage point to watch the river inhabitants. At night, the camp buildings and paths are lit by flaming torches and lamps, creating a magical, romantic, back to nature ambience.
The ten opulent, en suite tents provide a sense of privacy and tranquillity. Each tent boasts a king-size bed and comfortable deck furniture from which guests can admire the breathtaking views. The Singita Mara River Tented Camp is located within the Lamai Triangle, a 98 000 acre concession in the northern Serengeti. As there is no fencing, the wildlife migrates freely between the National Park and the concession, including the millions of wildebeest and zebra of the annual migration.
The camp, sited on the northern banks of the Mara River, just south of the Kenyan borders a completely self-sustained eco retreat.
