THE FACTS AND FEATURES OF SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK
Serengeti National Park is the oldest and most famous national park in Tanzania, and possibly the best-known wildlife sanctuary in the world. Its vast plains are home to predator and prey, vying for grasslands and the last watering holes as the dry season progresses. Between December and May, millions of mammals migrate across the plains, and the interaction between species is awesomely entertaining. Size: 14,763 sq km (5,700 sq mi). 335km (208 mi) from Arusha, stretching north to Kenya and bordering Lake Victoria to the west. Getting to: A six hour drive, or one hour flight, from Arusha.
